(January 17, 2020) — Columbus Humane is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the suspected poisoning of a dog in North Linden.

Columbus Humane’s Cruelty Investigations Department (CID) is responsible for investigating cases of animal cruelty, neglect and abandonment in Franklin County. Under the Ohio Revised Code, Chapter 1717.06, commissioned Humane Agents enforce all local and state laws pertaining to the care and treatment of animals.  This is in response to reports from members of the public, partner agencies including other law enforcement agencies, health departments, code enforcement and social service agencies.
